Devour A2 Print

Devour is one a series of four Manimal portraits depicting the same person.  the narrative is captured in each animal encapsulating an attribute of the sitter. The elements within the composition are representational of traditional themes, here the butterfly  links to rebirth and life, the light a truth positioned under the foot to anchor it in place so it becomes a known entity, the scales depict balance of knowledge, the fox element often depicted as sly here strips away that connotation and instead emulates  a stoic strength, sharp and composed.
